After the inauguration, Mr Joshi spoke and said that the supply chain base expansion in the State, including North Karnataka, will drive economic movement and generate entrepreneurship and employment opportunities.

Merchants on Flipkart have faced numerous hurdles while making sales on the company's marketplace, to the extent that some of them have quit the portal.

Some of these challenges include the company's allegedly discriminatory policies towards merchants, the lack of a skilled logistics service, and consumer returns that are a consequence of customer fraud.
