US General's revelation on Donald Trump in book triggers debates

Gen. Milley compared Donald Trump's conduct to Adolf Hitler's ascent to power in Nazi Germany
The recent revelation by General Mark Milley that he had feared that former US President Donald Trump might launch nukes has set a series of debates in motion across political and social circles across the globe.
Gen. Milley, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff during the Trump regime, has set a train of heated deliberations after he was quoted extensively in a book authred by two Washington Post reporters. Carol Leonnig and Philip Rucker in their book "I Alone Can Fix It: Donald J Trump's Catastrophic Final Year" quoted Gen. Milley saying that Donald Trump’s repeated claim of victory came about as “a stomach churning” experience.
Gen. Milley compared the former POTUS’s reign to that of Adolf Hitler's ascent to power in Nazi Germany.“This is a Reichstag moment,” Milley told his top aides, according to the book. “The gospel of the Fuhrer,” he added.
In 1933, the Reichstag building in Berlin caught fire, providing Hitler with an excuse to cement his power.
According to a forthcoming book, the final days of Donald Trump's administration were a rollercoaster for the top US military leader as Trump and his loyalists tried to stay in power after losing the 2020 election.

Donald Trump’s Final Year as POTUS
Leonnig and Rucker's book has been written after interviewing more than 140 people, which included some important Trump administration officials.
The writers describe a series of events involving Gen. Milley, who became increasingly anxious after Trump's loss in the November election, which Joe Biden won by a margin of 306 to 232 in the US Electoral College.
After receiving a briefing on Trump's planned "million MAGA march," Gen. Milley told individuals he feared an American version of "brownshirts on the streets." The Brownshirts were a pro-Nazi group of political paramilitary operatives who supported Hitler's ascent to power using violent means and intimidation.
According to a Washingtn Post report on the book, an old buddy called Gen. Milley that evening and warned him that people connected to Trump were seeking to "overturn the government."
“What the f— am I up against?” is what Milley responded with.
The events of January 6, when Trump supporters stormed the US Capitol, saw Trump maintaining a stronghold on Republican voters and the party. A special committee has been appointed by the US House of Representatives to look into the January 6 uprising. The first public meeting of the committee is scheduled for next week.
Donald Trump’s Reaction
Trump, who feels the 2020 election was rigged, issued a statement on Thursday stating he had "lost respect for Milley" and had "never threatened or spoken about a coup" to anyone. “Milley never displayed what he is displaying now during my administration,” Trump added in the statement.
Notably, Trump was the first President of the United States who was impeached twice.
